Advice For Designing A Chain Link Security Fence
By simply deciding to add or leave out certain pieces typically used in building a fence can aid greatly to security. Some of the following advice is more specific than merely adding or taking away typical pieces, however, it they are all relatively easy ways to enhance security.

-Make your fence high enough to bar whatever you are trying to keep from your facility.
-Make your fence difficult to climb. Do not include a top rail because it is easy for an intruder to use a top rail for support in climbing over.
-Barbed wire or barbed tape can also make your fence more difficult to climb. Place your wire toward the exterior, away from what you are protecting.
-Secure your barbed wire by bolting it down to each post.
-A bottom rail can prevent the bottom of your fencing to bend upward and deter an intruder the ability of obstructing your fence.
-You can also bury the bottom of your fence deep enough to bend up.
-Fold down the head of your bolt. This way an intruder cannot take the bolt out of its place and destruct your fencing.
-Have more than one line of defense. Use two lines of fences with sufficient space between each line. You can have a path between the two lines for guards to patrol.
-Fence more than just your perimeter. Erect fencing around things valuable inside the area in your facility.

Whenever you deicide to secure an area a key component is to design a thorough security plan. Some things to think about when developing your plan is how each type of fencing material will aid to or take away from the goals you wish to accomplish in your plan for security.
